My first transformative experience paper--"Modeling Authenticity"--got accepted to Res Philosophica! It should be out in January 2016
My article with Tania Lombrozo--on the educational benefits of attempts to explain that fail to generate true explanations--was accepted by Science & Education. This was a fantastic birthday present.
I (along with Tania Lombrozo) presented some of our work to the participants involved in the Transformative Experience grant from the John Templeton Foundation.
Nadya Vasilyeva and I got to present our research to other recipients and interested parties involved in the John Templeton Foundation Varieties of Understanding grant.
My fellow researchers and I gave one short-form presentation (with Nadya Vasilyeva and Tania Lombrozo), one long-form presentation (with Dillon Plunkett and Tania Lombrozo), and one poster presentation (with Dillon Plunkett and Tania Lombrozo) at the Society for Philosophy and Psychology annual meeting. We were very busy.
My article with Dillon Plunkett and Tania Lombrozo ("Depth and Deference: When and Why we Attribute Understanding") on how understanding attributions correlate with deference judgments was accepted by Philosophical Studies!
I am extremely excited to announce that Tania Lombrozo and I just received one year of funding under the auspices of the John Templeton Foundation Transformative Experience grant. I'm staying in Berkeley for another year!
